Insert witty and/or catchy hello phrase here…

G’day!

If you don’t know who I am, please check out the about me section of the website. If you do know who I am, hello! Either way, old or new friend, welcome to my website :)
As you can see from the menu at the top of the page, i’ve split the website into different sections - Blog, Articles and My Work. Each section will be aimed at different audiences, but there will be a lot of material which does cross between each section, so everything should link together nicely. Here’s a few notes on what i’ve got planned for each section…

Blog:

In this section I will make talk about general happenings on the web, what I’m currently up to and anything else that I think is worthy of putting up here. I hope to talk a lot about web technologies over the next few months, and i’ll also be asking you some web based questions.

Articles:

When I’m coding in PHP and JavaScript and I hit a problem, I often find that the best solutions come from blogs. For this reason, I hope to be able to help others, and will be reguarly posting articles on various web related topics such as PHP, AJAX, JavaScript, Search Engines, CSS, Web Applications, Usability and Interfaces, just to name a few…

A lot of the material may be opinionated, or not the best way of doing something, so if you have a different view on the topic being discussed or would like to extend upon my views, please feel free to comment and add your thoughts!

My Work

This will basically be an uptodate portfolio of my work as I finish it, be it for clients, university or personal usage. I’m working on some pretty big projects at the moment, so will post up details of these soon. A lot of my articles or blog posts may tie in heavily with the work I’m currently doing, so please feel free to keep your eye on this section - my RSS feed will be quite handy for this..

Anyway, i’ll let you get back to whatever you were doing! Please introduce yourself below - it’d be great to hear from you.

Welcome to the wonderful world of the blogosphere, Rich.

I’m looking forward to reading your future posts and articles. :D

  2. Richard Willars

Thanks Jamie! Should have known you’d be the first on here!

I’m pleased to say that I used your latest post on WordPress plugins (My New WordPress Plugins) to improve my site, so you might see a few similarities between the two :)

Richard, just digging around for geneology. I’m not too familiar with many Willars in the USA, but there are a few in Monterey Mexico, where my roots are from. Anyway, good luck with the blog.

Hi John, thanks for checking out my site! It’s great to hear you’re hunting down all the Willars’. I’m still intrigued as to where the name originated from..

You may be mistaken, but I’m from the UK, not the USA. I don’t know if it’ll help in any way, but there’s plenty of us in Leicestershire, England!
